The name of the organization (Hereinafter called “The Association “) is ASSOCIATION OF REGISTERED INSURANCE AGENTS OF NIGERIA.

The Registered office of the Association shall be situated in Nigeria ” Insurance Agency here includes the communication and understanding of the problems and techniques involved in insurance selling, Insurance Agency Contract, Administration, Marketing Management, Trade and Commerce, and in all tiers of Government, Private Enterprises And Agriculture.

ASSOCIATION OF REGISTERED INSURANCE AGENTS OF NIGERIA WAS FOUNDED

(1st Of June, 2000)

Building a sound reputable association founded on the highest standards of responsible behaviour with a sustainable welfare and professional delivery to its members and stakeholders  as a dynamic representation in all facet in the industry.

1. 1. To establish and maintain an Association for persons and organisations concerned with and interest in insurance agency and marketing.
   2. To build up a body of Knowledge of the art of science of insurance selling by promoting the exchange of information and ideas.
   3. To provide facilities for an engage in study of and enquiry and research into insurance selling and agency problems and to make known the results of such enquiry, examination and research (b) Publishing produce and distribute literature, books, pamphlets, films, posters, periodicals and journals and in such other manner as may be  thought fit.
   4. To bring together persons interested in the art and science of insurance selling by such means as conferences and meetings, the reading of papers and the promotion of research.
   5. To foster and encourage members and other persons to undertake voluntary work for the purpose of furthering the objects of the Association.
   6. To establish appropriate training association and promote training courses, scholarships, grants awards and prizes, to encourage education in the principals and practice of insurance selling.
   7.  To confer, consult, maintain contact and co-operate with any persons, associations, societies, Associations or bodies or persons established in Nigeria or elsewhere having objects in respect of the matter within the objects of the Association.
   8. To engage in any or all activities designed to produce books, pamphlets, films, cassettes, periodicals and other educational materials particularly those relevant to the art and science of insurance selling.
   9. To set up as it deems fit, alone or ” In association with other associations or bodies, specialist study, centres of interalia, develop advice and information services run seminars, courses, conferences, workshops and libraries in specific area of insurance agency.
   10. To amalgamate or affiliate with, or acquire or takeover the undertaking of any association or body having objects altogether or in part similar to those of the Association and all or any of the assets thereof which the association may lawfully acquire or takeover.
   11.  To establish and maintain a library and collection of films and other materials relating to insurance marketing principles and practices and to afford facilities for the use or the same.
   12.  To collaborate as appropriate with governments and with various associations in Nigeria other Africa countries and elsewhere, in effecting the objectives. of Clause (a) to (b) above.
   13.  To develop and establish branches and to arrange for the branches to be affiliated according to the byelaws of the association.
   14. To make arrangement for carrying on the work of the association and for this purpose to engage and provide in whole or in part for the salaries of employee and/or maintenance of offices.
   15. To establish and/or undertake any trusts which may lawfully be undertaken by the Association and are considered to be in furtherance of its objects.
   16.  To do all or any of the above things in any part of the world whether as principals, agents, or otherwise.
   17. To do all such other lawful things as are incidental or maybe thought conductive to the attainment of the above objects or any of time.
   18. To promote and protect the interest  and welfare of the members whenever there is any area of dispute with principals as the case may be.
